Takara means “treasure” in Japanese, a fitting name for this handmade orb-shaped box, perfect for keeping your jewelry and small keepsakes. This piece took Yvonne through a long, challenging process: two failed prototypes, hours of carving, and mold-making setbacks.

On her third try, she decided to take a risk and hand-carve the surface, something new for her, inspired by encouragement from her Instagram community. It took most of the summer to perfect the form, especially the 45° base that she is especially proud of. In the end, only two out of three molds survived, but thankfully, the final result turned out beautifully.   This piece represents resilience, growth, and love for the craft.
